My excuse: iPad
Sep 10, 2012
Wow, me inactive for so longgg :(
My recent trip to Australia, wasn't a really happy one as my fil just passed away. He was a great man and I am very thankful to know him before he passed on. I am blessed to have him as one of my mentor and father all these years. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.
I also blame it on iPad that I couldn't blog that much these last few months >.< Why isn't there a blogger app for iPad??? Come on! Well, there are other paid apps but I'm a big scrooge when it comes to paying apps. No worries, today I did found an alternative app to blog from iPad, so more posts will be coming soon.
I also was trying to find a way to replace my digital scrapping of my photos. Although I still love doing it on my PC, but these days, mobile is the way to go! I love instagram and instaword on iPhone, but they are not available on iPad. Again I have to find alternative for me to blog entirely from iPad. I can't multitask between too many devices hehe
This post is also to remind myself to come back to blogging. So it is kind of welcoming myself back :) I want to thank my blogger friends, who have been encouraging me to continue blogging. Without all of your enthusiastic support, I may truly leave the blogersphere for good, but thanks to you, I am back to blogging babeh~
xoxo, ciao, elle

Second Quarter 2012
Jun 27, 2012
Time flies..sometimes fast, sometimes slow. This post is just a little snippet version of my second quarter of 2012. I have been neglecting the bloggersphere and I believed it has kinda created a tiny hole in my world. So now I will be slowly patching it up, with some coming reviews and pick up the fingers to do more typing and picture taking ^^
April 2012
It was my birthday, and it was a really memorable and special day for me. They said, good things happen to good people; and that day was one of those days, and those two (hubby & I) are those people.
May 2012
After my ROM, I kinda started a domino effect thingy. My youngest sister got married! And my second sister will follow suit in November 2012. Sigh, bliss .. The happiest I think, its our parents! After having 3 daughters for the last 20+ years, they now gain 3 new sons (in-law) all in one year!
June 2012
I bought an iPad! So kinda busy playing with it and tweaking it and customizing it and bla bla bla lol There are so many weird apps in the market! The weirdest app got to be 'Sit & Squat' where it showed a picture of the toilets in surrounding restaurants and cafes, in case you really need to do job number one lol
I'll be flying off to Melbourne this weekend, so I'll showcase some pictures here and I will be putting up some reviews in the next couple of days. Ciao~

Yamagoma Ramen @ Publika
May 13, 2012
I was invited for food tasting at the newly opened Yamagoya Ramen @ Publika. There are plenty of sushi restaurants in KL but there aren't many good ramen restaurant in KL so I was excited to try this.
Above: I was there with stellarvixen ^^Above: Lots of yummy dishes in the menuAbove: You got to try their Mukashi Special Ramen!Above: Calpis Soda, Cucumber Juice, Asahi Draft BeerAbove: The wonderfully talented chef & staff of Yamagoya RamenYamagoya means "small mountain hut" but the taste is explosively yummy for the tummy. I'm usually a fan of dry noodle dishes, but I like this ramen alot and even finishes the soup in the entire bowl! Overall, I have a wonderful time there, and I will be going there for a few more rounds. Hope to see you there~

My own testimonial to why they deserved being one of the Finalist in the Prestigious Swiss Economic Award in 2008 for excellent customer service:
- When I submitted my 1st order purchase at 9am, it was delivered at 1pm, the very SAME DAY!!!
- I made another purchased for my sister (also delivered same day), but the order was mixed up with another customer's prescription. When I called to inform MrLens, the manager was very apologetic for the mixed up and promptly assured me another free delivery will be made to exchange for the correct prescription. Voila~ MrLens put in an extra free pair of contact lens for my sister!
- I have been wearing the same brand for 10+yrs (Bausch & Lomb SofLens Toric) and from the same supplier (see, I'm super loyal!). So now MrLens will have me as their customer for next 10yrs+ too! Coincidently my supplier also stop doing contact lens last year because he just migrated. Making so much money from customers like me & my family can migrate huh hahahaha
I just received my RM20 discount voucher from MrLens for my next purchase! Just wait and see more reviews of me wearing their lens! Have you got your voucher yet ^^ What are you waiting for!

Elle Tip: Keep wing eyeliner smudge free
Mar 27, 2012
Most days my makeup are quite simple, with a bold eyeliner wing. This is how I do it:
Above: Half close eyes with flashAbove: Open eyes with natural lightingBasic products that I used are above. Primer (Catalina Geo), Foundation (Garnier Light BB), Loose Powder (Lioele Secret Pore HD), Blusher (elf Berry Merry) and Eyeliner (Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner Pot). But the special thing that I always put on top of my wing eyeliner is Kate Eyeshadow BR-1.Elle Tip: The black eyeshadow powder has shimmering gold dust. Maybe it got from the gold colour lol I am not sure. The reason I top the gel eyeliner with this black eyeshadow powder is because I found that it keeps my wing intact, without smudge and crease after a whole day ^^
So end result, a happy Elle~!
How often I do this look? Very often. With the frequent practise, it still takes me 15 minutes to doll up like this. Hopefully, I will be better and quicker, and do this in 10 minutes, then it's not only a happy Elle, but also a happy hubby hahaha~

Review: Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet
Mar 19, 2012
My first encounter with Caudalie was about 4 years ago, 2008, when I swapped at makeupalley. It was the Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Mask (purple range). It was ok, or maybe I did not mask it enough hehe
Caudalie is from France. The basis of it's products are from grapes. The founders own a winery in France and they expand to developing skincare somewhere in 1993.
Last year, I was invited by Sasa Malaysia (organised by Sasa Hong Kong) to try out their new range, Caudalie Vinosource (pink range).
That's their whole range, available exclusively in Sasa. This range is formulated specifically for dehydrated and sensitive skins. It contains three key ingredients from the grape vine:-
- Grape Water® extracted from organic grapes during harvesting rich in polysaccharides that have the ability to capture water and conserve the quantity it needs within its cells;
- Vinolevure® (exclusive to Caudalie) which is extracted from the walls of wine yeast with unique hydrating, strengthening and protective qualities and can conserve up to 100 times its weight in water; and
- Grape-seed Polyphenols, the most powerful anti-oxidants in the plant kingdom, they block 100% of free radicals and are 10,000 times more effective than Vitamin E.
I was given a bottle of Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet-Creme, full size 40ml, retail RM120 to try out. This post was delayed as I just recently finished it. I think it's only justify to give my thoughts about it after I ponder it's affect.
Texture: Light cream but turn liquid upon face, light a wet mousse.
Absorption: Very quick. Leave no residue.
Smell: None for me
Ingredients: There are no harmful ingredients such as parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, coloring agents, mineral oils and silicones
Packaging: I love pumps because it is hygienic and great for travelling as it won't spill (I always keep caps). But this pump is not possible to open/detached from the bottle. So I can't really dig in for any last drop lol.
I have heard many experts saying that oily skin is also the result of dehydrated skin, as in not much moisture/water under the face epidermis. This medium size moisturiser lasted me about 2 months.
Verdict: I like it ^^ I will continue to use it. I have no breakout using this, except the occasional zits that occur prior menstrual. I do feel less oily on my face, but only a minimal less. It is not yet my personal HG moisturiser, but it can be considered. I'm looking forward to know my face condition after the 3rd bottle :)

Review: Lioele Secret Pore HD Powder
Mar 14, 2012
I have super oily face, and I usually look like a frying pan by late afternoon (that is if I did not blot away~). It was much worse in my early teens. It has been ages since I truly hold my palms to my face because of the oiliness and I always have a hard time cleaning smudges of foundation on me and hubs clothes grrr.
Above: Me (oil and shine alert!) & ChikoAbove: Lioele Secret Pore HD PowderMy mil and I was shopping in Far East, Singapore; and bought this for me! Liole is from Korea. I think they debuted with their famous bb cream in 2010. Now they have a whole range of products. The Lioele Secret Pore HD Powder is 15g of white silica powder and comes with a puffing pad, but I do not use it. I uses a brush to put the powder on my face, after my foundation. I love it~! Matte face here I come!I think I look abit wide on my pink fusia top :( That's because it was just days I came back from Melbourne, loaded with food lol.
If you want to do without shine, try this Lioele Secret Pore HD Powder and share with me~
